MUSIC TECHNOLOGY LAB
The Abington Heights Middle School is home to a state-of-the-art Music Technology Lab. The objective of the Music Technology Lab (MTL) is to enhance the music curriculum through effective use of carefully chosen music education software and expanding interests in other areas such as theater, dance and visual arts. The music lab now consists of 17 workstations.
This unique music opportunity gives students that are not involved in traditional performance ensembles such as bad, orchestra and chorus to experience music education in a fund and exciting environment with hands-on application utilizing 21st century technology. A variety of music lab classes are offered to students grades 5th-8th including Music Ace Maestro, Electronic Keyboards, Beginner Piano, and Band in A Box.
Over the years the AEIO has provided funding for music lab hardware (workstations, headsets, cords, flash drives, etc.), software and upgrades.
